Workin' On the House

[this is good]
Gorgeous light fixture. Very ambitious project with the hole in the wall, especially with a load bearing wall. Looks like it's coming along nicely. As for the bathroom, eh, who really cares as long as the floor and toilet are clean? I mean really... LOL
Sounds like you are being very productive. My hubby volunteered to replace a shower for some friends of ours. It took him all week last week, but that's okay 'cause it was too wet to do anything else.
I like how the window between the kitchen and dining room is cut on an angle at the top... does it compliment a vaulted ceiling?
Thanks. I just slapped on the first coat of mud today, so I'll be posting the finished product soon. As for the bathroom, well, my MIL is coming for a visit soon and will be using that bathroom, so we wanted it to look somewhat better.
We're trying to get all the projects done before the twins' birthday party at the end of this month. I'm starting to think that maybe we shouldn't have started so many. :-)
Thanks, but actually the opening is level, it must have been the angle from which I took the picture. It would have been nice to do something a little more decorative with it, but the combination of our lack of experience, and it being a load bearing wall limited our possibilities. Sigh, maybe the next one...
Isn't it amazing how having a deadline makes you want to accomplish more? Our daugher and family are coming from Texas in a couple of weeks, so I need to get busy, too.
wow jean your honey knows how to do it :) great work!

Thanks! How are things going for you?
