So the kids finished up school this week. Yeah! So now a little bragging...
Let's see, Frank received an award for 'Best Brass Player' in band, and starts practicing for marching band tonight. He's going to be busy with that all summer. We would like him to get a part time job too, but we don't know if we'll be able to swing that with his schedule.
Sara has now officially passed on to high school. She received awards for 'Academic Excellence' for both the final semester and the entire year. She also received 'Student of the Year' in social studies and a 'President's Award for Educational Excellence' that came with a nifty pin. She was also brought up in front of her graduating class and acknowledged for being one of the 54 finalists in the essay contest that the DNC put on.
Logan received an award fro "Academic Excellence' as well. He also received some sort of award for "Reading Counts Certificate of Excellence', no clue what that one was, but since he read more books than anyone else in his class I'm assuming that's it. He also was awarded a cute continuation certificate as he is now a member of the middle school roster.
Not much else to report right now. I'm sure I'll have a bunch of pics to post later this week, but for now I'm going to enjoy a day or two of sleeping in!
Today was just wonderful! You should have seen the clan... Blinking myopically as we emerged from our winter dwelling. It's around 75 degrees right now so it was the perfect day to parade down to the park, well everyone except Logan, and fly a kite. (Yes that's our kite!) We even stopped on the way and grabbed some neighbor kids to go with us. The kids got to fly the kite, climb trees, and basically run off some steam. Man I love this time of year!

It's that time of year again... We're getting ready to break out the vinegar and food coloring as we speak! The twins are getting to that age now where every holiday is a new and fun experience. What's even more fun for me is watching how excited the teens and tween get when they're helping them. It's funny isn't it, how they have so much patience for them, but none for me and Kev?
